Judging for Scholastic

Okay, so I was super flattered when the folks at Scholastic asked if I would judge their Art and Writing Awards this year.  Teens from all over the country submit their best stuff and get recognized for it.  How cool is that?  Previous winners include people like Sylvia Plath, Robert Redford, and Stephen King.  Seriously–I know!

I’m doing my reading this week.  Thanks to all the brave teens who submitted! In SARK’s words, you are “rare and wonderous.”  You are warriors.  And even if you’re not officially recognized by the Awards, know that you’re on the path/part of the club/at the party.  Welcome.  I’ll see you around.
